Mark Liddament

Dr Mark Liddament is an independent biotech consultant and biologics R&D leader with over 21 years of experience in antibody discovery, protein engineering and therapeutics development. His technical expertise spans monoclonal and multispecific antibodies, alternative protein scaffolds, and display-based, single-B-cell and transgenic discovery technologies. His work has contributed to more than 17 clinical-stage programs and two marketed medicines. He has held senior scientific and executive R&D leadership roles at CSL, Teva, GSK, MedImmune/AstraZeneca and Cambridge Antibody Technology. His experience spans biologics strategy, discovery and portfolio governance. His research has been published in leading scientific journals and cited more than 1,800 times, and he is a named inventor on five patent families. Mark holds a PhD in Protein Display from the University of Cambridge. He advises biotechnology companies and investors on biologics R&D, antibody and protein engineering, development strategy and technical due diligence.
