Kathryn Goldman earned her B.S. and Ph.D. in Microbiology from North Carolina State University, where her USDA-sponsored research focused on the discovery and characterization of acid resistance properties in Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli.
She began her career in medical diagnostics, developing and validating assays on digital microfluidic platforms before moving into scientific and proposal writing. Kathryn has extensive experience creating competitive proposals and technical materials that have secured funding from federal and private sources, including NIH, CDC, BARDA, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
She recently joined Centivax to leverage her expertise in scientific communication and proposal development to support their innovative universal vaccine program and associated therapies. She is passionate about translating this high-impact research into real-world applications.
